A woman in a black top standing outdoors under a tree, holding a large Tibetan singing bowl with a mallet in her hand.

In short, it is a deeply immersive, individualized sound vibrational session using Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs and other sound instruments to create a meditative experience.  This full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind, body and soul. In the book, Tuning the Human Biofield: Healing with Vibrational Sound Therapy by Eileen Day McKusick she explains how sound waves can be used to heal trauma and pain stored in the body’s energy field. There are recent observations in the science of sound and energy, and when there is  trauma stored in the body it  can cause “pathological oscillations” in the biofield. By using sound waves in a session there can be a more relaxed state to help the body’s natural rhythm come forward. Each Tibetan bowl used in session is tuned to the frequency corresponding to the seven chakras in the body.  Wise Zen Therapy also uses a state of the art sound bed that syncs brain waves with vibrations throughout the body as well as a biomat (a device that uses infrared rays and negative ions to promote relaxation and pain relief and is infused with amethyst crystals.)
